2.0 Treatment

• After the awareness campaign, many drug addicts volunteered to get the treatment. During the year 2006, 250 Drug addicts were treated in the 5 camps organised for 15 days, free of cost.

• 2 camps were held at PHC Sujjon, one each at Civil Hospital Banga and Balachour and last camp at Bhogal Ind. Focal Point, Nawanshahr.
  
  

• At present, we have 20 bed Drug Deaddiction centre run by the State Red Cross Society at Bhucchar Dharamshala, Railway Road,Nsr.(Ph :01823641706). The willing patients are referred to for treatment, wherein medication is free and the patients have to bear only their dietary expenses(Rs. 1000 p.m.).

• There is another De-addiction center at the Guru Nanak Mission Charitable Hospital, Dhaha Kaleran(Ph:01823260260) wherein also the addicts are reffered to for treatment.

• Presently emphasis is laid on follow up of cases treated through the De-addiction centre.
